If I copied and pasted an article and used it as notes for my project, is it considered academic dishonesty even if I cite my sources?

Properly citing your sources is appropriate; however, if the source is used by “copying and pasting”, but without quotes, that would not be accepable and may be considered plagiarism, even if cited. Either way, “copying and pasting” - whether properly punctuated and cited, or not, reflects a lack of originality and may not be acceptable scholalrship. Rather, paraphrase everything in your own word (“voice”), with proper citations.
